When Cutler and Gross founded their eponymous brand in 1969, they had a vision: to reshape the eyewear industry with their unique, exquisitely handcrafted frames. Opticians by trade, the two Englishmen employed renowned frame maker George Smith, who crafted each pair of glasses individually in his workshop above their Knightsbridge store in London. 55 years later, this tradition of craftsmanship remains at the heart of Cutler and Gross.

Inspired by the original 0927 and 0995 from the Cutler and Gross archive, the 1394 is an alternative to the slim acetate aviator. The king of navigators, with its double bridge, square shape and bold proportions, the 1394 stands out and dares to be different.
