When Cutler and Gross founded their eponymous brand in 1969, they had a vision: to reshape the eyewear industry with their unique, exquisitely handcrafted frames. Opticians by trade, the two Englishmen employed renowned frame maker George Smith, who crafted each pair of glasses individually in his workshop above their Knightsbridge store in London. 55 years later, this tradition of craftsmanship remains at the heart of Cutler and Gross.
DESCRIPTION :
Crafted from a single sheet of acetate, the sturdy frame is beveled with chamfered edges to reduce weight and add depth. They are handcrafted with stable 7-bar hinges and are accented with our signature Compass Star pins.
